Join us for a dynamic presentation that provides participants with best practice tips on how to effectively conduct internal workplace investigations into harassment, code of conduct violations, bullying, retaliation and workplace safety complaints. Using interactive exercises and drawing on years of practical experience conducting investigations, Jean will outline a step-by-step internal investigation process that can be applied in any organization. Learning objectives include:

  • Quickly and expertly triage initial complaints of policy violations and identify remedial actions for complaints

  • Identify the legal obligations that require employers to conduct internal investigations

  • Gather documentary and physical evidence prior to interviewing witnesses

  • Get to the truth with any witness and handle the he said/she said dilemma

  • Utilize non-verbal mindfulness and FBI skills to elicit information
