As companies endeavor to integrate Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) law into existing benefit portfolios, there’s a larger conversation to be had, one that involves clear understanding as to why current legislation is vital to the health and success of companies in the years ahead. That is—how to create a supportive workplace culture for purposes of productivity, engagement and retention.

Objectives & Outcomes
1. Understand unique challenges facing working family caregivers
2. Recognize signs that your employees may need additional caregiving support
3. Anticipate concerns of family caregivers based on where they are in their journey of caregiving
4. Appreciate the asset that working family caregivers are in the workplace
5. Review resources that are available and how they potentially map to existing D&I programs/portfolios

This interactive session provides Human Resources professionals with an overview of the emotional journey employees experience as family caregivers, allowing insights for how to assist both the individual and the organization. Attendees can expect greater understanding and patience for this subset of the employee base, as well as increased confidence and compassion communicating corporate policies.
